Junior Account Manager

Who we are

We are small, passionate founding team consisting of an experienced technologist with a background in software development & architecture in the financial services industry, a CA with 17 years’ experience in various aspects of business (accounting, supply chain management, etc.) and a corporate lawyer who spent 15 years in corporate commercial law.

What we're doing

We're taking an innovative web application, aimed primarily at independent financial advisers, to the next level. We are fully bootstrapped and cash-flow positive with a fast-growing customer base (including a well-known listed company) and we are aiming for 100x growth in the next 3 years. This requires people with the Right Stuff™, who are excited to help us achieve this vision.

Who you are

You are good with people and through some weird cosmic twist of fate you also like prepping large amounts of numbers data in Excel spreadsheets.
You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your portfolio of assigned clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. You will liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs (Ok, that last part sounded dreadfully corporate… you’ll be the glue between our clients and ourselves, ok?). Ideally you possess most of the following traits or skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail and managing deadlines
  • Sound knowledge of Excel
  • Hungry, resilient and motivated to succeed
  • Self-motivated and proactive, yet a team player (no ***holes please)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills (at least English and Afrikaans)

Here is what your day-to-day would look like:

  • Deal with any and all matters specific to your client
  • Do whatever it takes to develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and employees
  • Collecting data from various sources (which could be difficult to obtain and can require a fair amount of tenacity)
  • Ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Consume copious amounts of excellent coffee (or not, your loss)

Opportunity & compensation

We have done the heavy lifting ito establishing the product, initial client base and relationships with industry partners. We now need someone who can help us nurture and grow our customer base through dedicated relationship management, onboarding of new clients as well as helping them be succeed our platform. You will get to work directly with our MD, an experienced CA and utter samurai when it comes to dealing with both people and numbers.
